The Vesper Glow (2026)

Book 2 is complete. You can learn about the project and read the first three chapters here.

Like The Summoner’s Ring, I left the novel at the end where it could be a stand-alone novel or it could continue on.

I like the characters I created. It was fascinating to direct this project and edit it. These genres are not something I’ve ever worked with, nor are they really something I read, though I do like sci fi noir movies. I decided to view that novelty as a strength. I could do things in a new or fresh way simply because I didn’t know what the conventions were.

This was a grueling process, but I’m glad I did it. I’m also glad it’s done.

There are 3 acts, 33 chapters, and about 285 pages. I’d describe the genre as “Sci-fi noir meets romantasy.”

Idea for image on the back cover, or maybe on the inside of the front cover.

This image depicts the “Bleeder-Cuffs,” which is a creation of the world of the book, where the energy of the enslaved supernatural beings (called “Glows”) is drained to power the Human Sector.
